During The School Year
During the school year, Young Leaders Club (YLC) is a part of our Kindergarten program here at BRiDGES Preschool. This is the character building piece of the program that teaches leadership, independence and responsibility.
When children are not too busy being “big”, they often find themselves intrigued with the younger curriculum and play along. It’s like sneaking in one extra beautiful year of childhood.
BRiDGES Young Leaders:
- Learn environmental awareness and team up to oversee our school-wide recycling program
- Are the children wearing the lanyards, picture badges and whistles on the playground
- Blow the whistle with the teachers when it is time to get a drink or help clean up
- Are taught to model empathy when a friend is hurt or in need
- Assist the teachers by running in-house errands, like retrieving extra napkins, refilling glue bottles, etc.
During the Summer
During our Summer Program, our Young Leaders become entrepreneurs. This program is designed for children entering 1st thru 3rd grade.
Children continue developing their reading, writing, and math skills as they create business plans in the BRiDGES entrepreneur club.
YLC is a popular Summer Class. Families interested should inquire early. Please make sure you are on the information mailing list, for the next few years to come.
